We catch Mahi Mahi (Dorado) Ono (Wahoo), Pacific Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, & Ahi (Tuna). We have experienced and USCG licensed Captains. We fish with artificial lures, live bait & dead bait. We are happy to filet your fish upon request. We offer taxidermy service with Gray Taxidermy and can arrange to have your trophy fish mounted.

KA'ANAPALI SPORTFISHING

Captain Dan Shaffer, owner/operator of "Desperado" has been successfully hunting our waters for the biggest and best of Marlin, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Ono and the list goes on... They hold state records such as catching 58 Marlin in one month, catching 8 out of the 11 record Marlin in Maui county, bringing in 16 Ahi averaging 150 pounds in one charter!

"Desperado" houses the top of the line Gold Penn International rods and reels, using lures, live bait, strip, chunk and chum to bring in the biggest and the best. With the custom built fish boxes and plenty of room for coolers and ice, you are sure to have an adventure! RASCAL CHARTERS

Maui deep sea sportfishing charters targeting marlin, mahi mahi, ono, ahi and other big game fish. Our deluxe, 40ft Hatteras, the Rascal, is clean, comfortable, fully outfitted, and FAST!

We target four types of game fish here in Hawaii: Marlin (including Pacific Blue, striped and spearfish/shortbilled marlin), Ahi (yellowfin tuna), Ono (wahoo), and Mahi Mahi (dolphin fish). These can range in size from a small, 8 pound juvenile mahi mahi to an 800 lb. blue marlin.... or maybe bigger! Occasionally, we pick up various species of Snapper, Jacks, and other incidental catches.
Most of our fish here in Hawaii are caught high speed trolling (8-9 knots). Depending on the fishing conditions, we also fish with live and dead bait (Or whatever it takes that day to make 'em bite!)
